Amaiur and Artzamendi

From the summit of Artzamendi, we can enjoy spectacular panoramic views featuring the French coast and surrounding mountains such as Larrun and Peñas de Aia.

The route is circular with an out-and-back section starting at kilometer 16.6 that leads to the summit. If we don’t feel strong enough, we can reduce both the distance (8.1 km is the length of the out-and-back section to the summit) and the difficulty by completing only the circular part. On the return to Camping Baztán, we pass through the historic village of Amaiur.
