Saldías, Orokieta and Belate

A typical route of the area where we replace the first part of the climb to Orokieta, which passes through the town of Beintza-Labaien, with the Saldias wall.

This will make the climb to Orokieta, including this wall, reach about 9 km at 5.3%, with sections in the first part approaching 12%. Once we reach the summit, we begin the descent toward the beautiful and peaceful Ultzama Valley until we join the N-121, where we must take extra care due to heavy traffic. Fortunately, this section is very short, and we soon tackle the final challenge of the day, the Belate pass.
